She did her MA and PhD on Renaissance and Baroque Venice, which gave her the chance to get lost in the labyrinthine archives of the lagoon city.

Originally from New England, she now lives in a small town in Old England with her partner.

She is aggressively anti-AI and anti-Covid, and will remain so until both of them disappear.

When she isn’t working on her next novel, she’s likely obsessing over books, fumbling through a new recipe, watching archaeology documentaries, or going on woodland walks to visit her favorite tree.
