About

Hi, I’m Meredith, an art historian and a writer. I have a PhD in Venetian art history, and my research focuses on painting and sculpture in seventeenth-century Venice and London. I write historical fiction and historical fantasy that always has a dash of the supernatural, and a spicy splash of romance. You can find out more about my novels in the menus above.

I’m a co-founder of the group writing blog Muse in Pocket, Pen in Hand, where I and my fellow Muses post new genre-spanning short stories every month. You can read all of my short stories here.

My pronouns are she/her/hers. I’m an INFJ who loves deep conversations, green tea, baking, dogs, and the occasional whisky. I’m obsessed with all things Venice (obv), but also Scotland, archaeology, astrophysics, unpicking the storytelling in films and TV shows, and listening to music of all kinds.

My favorite genres to read are historical fiction and fantasy (also obv), and some of my favorite authors are Madeline Miller, Roshani Chokshi, Joyce Chua, Hannah Whitten, Michelle Lovric, and Carrie Callaghan.

For more details and silly anecdotes, have a look at my old #PitchWars bio, and my Liebster Award posts (Part 1 and Part 2).

Thanks for stopping by!
